Work Health & Safety Policy
ASG Civil & Industrial Work Health and Safety (WHS) Policy applies to all their Offices and worksites.
ASG management is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for the prevention of work-related injury and ill health, to our staff, contractors and of course to the public.
ASG management and staff are committed to not only fulfilling our contractual and legal obligations but ensuring an environment of continual improvement of WHS Compliance is maintained.
To achieve this, we will:

Structure the safety management system (SMS) and integrate with ASG’s Integrated Management System (IMS) to comply with all the requirements of ISO 45001 standard.

Implement a robust and transparent audit and inspection system to promote transparency, accountability, and improvement in the system.

Establish measurable objectives and targets to ensure continuous improvement aimed at eliminating work-related injury and illness.

Provide the resources to fulfill legal requirements and other requirements such as contractual requirements.

Establish vigorous processes to monitor and review health and safety performance.

Promote worker consultation and communication and encourage worker representatives to help improve the safety performance at depot and company level.

Management and staff to ensure full commitment to eliminate hazards and reduce WH&S Risks including documented risk management systems around all high-risk areas.

Encourage and promote an environment of continual improvement via proactively reporting and addressing WH&S Issues.

Only allow adequately trained and authorised staff to operate plant and machinery including but not limited to trucks, excavators, trailers, work at heights and confined space equipment etc.

Ensure only properly maintained equipment and machinery is always used.

Proactive reporting of incidents and near misses to ensure lessons learnt and avoid recurrence in the future.

Ensure risk assessments are reviewed and updated on a regular basis and communicated to all staff to ensure proper implementation.

Eliminate complacency through ongoing consultation, reminders, incentives, and safety drives.
All ASG employees and contractors are expected to follow all aspects of this policy.
